Hey everyone!
Sorry to be so quiet for a number of weeks, but I’ve had an unhealthy mix of being sick with being too busy. Today, however, I have the joy of announcing that Book II in the Arestana series has gone live!
I encourage you to go check it out on Amazon and just about everywhere else! You can find links the book on Amazon here: www.shawnpbrobinson.com/books
Book II continues to follow Liam’s journey, but this time Harry (the bad guy from the first book) gets to tag along.
Here’s the short write-up for the book:
It’s been two months since Liam was last in Arestana. Life was pretty much back to normal, aside from Harry.
As he set out for the zoo with Harry and his class in the morning, he didn’t expect to end up flushed down another toilet! Join Liam in this sequel to Arestana: The Key Quest as he finds himself forced to lead the kingdom’s defense against an invading army! Will he make it back home this time? Yes… yes, he will (spoiler alert). But, the real question is, will he come back alone?
Here are some reviews off of Amazon.ca for Arestana Book I: The Key Quest (to give a bit of a flavor of the books):
I loved this book! It’s full of Douglas Adams style humour, and I found myself laughing over and over again. Many unpredictable twists and turns and very endearing characters. It made me nostalgic about all the great fantasy books that I read while I was growing up. A great story! I will be looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Arestana: The Key Quest is an excellent book. It has everything a great story needs to keep a reader interested. It is full of adventure, mystery, humor and amazing characters. If you have a great sense of humor and love adventure this is definitely a book for you. In Arestana you never know what will happen next, which make this book so hard to put down. If you want a good laugh then I highly recommend this book!

Having been a teacher – librarian for many years, I have always looked for books that would appeal to the adventure seeking male students who are often more inclined to be the reluctant readers. After reading Arestana – โThe Key Questโ in its entirety, I can see that the outlandish and oddball qualities given to some of the characters would appeal to boys emerging from the junior grade level into the senior grades. The story has a way of pulling the reader into each chapter, and once into the book, he/she becomes immersed in the quest making it difficult to put down the book. The absurdity of some of the characters would appeal to the sense of humour of readers ages 9-14 and the end leaves the reader anticipating what will happen next. This is not your typical โcookie-cutterโ adventure because of the many sudden and unexpected turn of events that the reader would never be able to anticipate right up to the end of the story.

Shawn Robinson..author of this book is a good friend of ours and I am excited and thrilled to suggest this book for your 9-13 year old who loves a great adventure and who can handle comedy, adventure, smelly things, and a whole lot of giggles…
Great work Shawn…I am a fan and I can’t wait for Book Two

This was one of the funniest kids’ books we have read. Appropriate and safe but full of fun humour that kids adore.
